Hi, I Rike U

July 2012.  This is our cat Tingle!  Say Herro to dis man!

In April or so of 2012, I had left the band I was playing bass in, A Happy Death.  A month later, I met my girlfriend that I now share an apartment with, Karin.  In July we went on a little weekend vacation to go on a hike, and then to a spa.

At some point, I can't remember if it was before or after this little weekend va-cay, Karin flew back home to LA and brought back her cat, Tingle, to live with her at her apartment in Portland.  These pictures were the first few pictures I took of him.  Tingle was shy at first, being brought to a completely new place, but eventually warmed up to his surroundings and made friends with me very quickly.  Tingle is an adorable male black Norwegian Forest Cat.  He does this thing where he'll hop up on his back legs to headbump you if you bend over.

Over time, Karin and I have given many nicknames to Tingle, most often calling him "Tango", or "The Tango" or "D'Tango", or "Targo", or "Targus", or "Tingoo", "Baby Man", or just "Mans", and Tingle is often spoken to in "Tingle voice" which is just kind of like internet cat speak where things are misspelled and grammar is incorrect, such as "Hi, I is D'Tango and I ruvs tuna, and I rike u, and now I don't rike u, oh but you gives me foods, tank u rady".

You know, typical living with a cat sort of stuff.  Tingle is my favorite cat ever though.  We are bros.
